DEP has four ranges of masking material :-
Masking Red
Masking Red is a photo opaque red masking film, a paper based cut and strip material. The stripping membrane, when cut, may be removed and positioned on Polyester photo film or Astrafoil base sheet. A good adhesion is assured enabling further cutting and stripping to be carried out if required. Ideal for ?burn-out masks?.
In addition to our standard Masking Red we have formulated a special type of masking material in green which gives a high transparency and matt surface. It has the same speed of cutting and stripping as our standard Masking Red. It has excellent UV resistance and greater transparency, due to the green colour there is less strain on the eye.
Supplied in 25 Metre rolls in varying widths. Cut sheets also available.
Astrastrip RT / AT and RTS
DEP?s environmentally friendly aqueous ASTRASTRIP or ?Ruby Films? are formulated for the art / camera and photo stencil preparation departments for cutting masks and positives either by hand or a plotting (sign cutting machines).
All ASTRASTRIP films have a UV opaque membrane coated onto a clear polyester base. Images are produced by cutting through the ruby or amber coloured membrane then peeling out any non-image areas.
ASTRASTRIP RT/AT
Low tack range of polyester based stripping materials, with good anti-static qualities and vacuum contact. Manufactured in Red and Amber. Preferred by users as a hand-cut material.
ASTRASTRIP RTS
A strong elasticated membrane that is resistant to snapping or tearing enabling easy weeding for reducing down-time. Specially formulated for screen printers and is ideal for CAD cutters and plotters for more intricate detail.
Astrastrip P
The range of ASTRASTRIP cut and strip masking materials includes PG4 a highly transparent green UV mask that is an ideal partner for RT and AT when multiple colour sets are required.
