Polyethylene Terephthalate, often referred to as PET film but commonly known as Polyester. PET has excellent processing characteristics with high dimensional stability and rigidity for a wide range of applications and a variety of industries.

A few examples of where Polyester is used:

  • labels and tags
  • packaging
  • electrical applications
  • printing (including offset, flexo and digital)
  • montage (offset planning foils)
  • posters
  • calendars
  • display materials
  • template for cutting marble and granite worktops

DEP offers a range of different polyesters in different thicknesses to suite your requirements:-

Polyester

  • non-treated
  • a range of planning foils providing exceptional stability, optical clarity and chemical resistance
  • available in seven gauges, rolls or cut sheets

Polyester Antistatic

  • a surface treated planning foil for excellent static dissipation and exceptional transparency
  • accepts adhesive tapes, opaque pens etc.
  • very good dimensional stability and mechanical strength

Polyester 250 Micron

 

  • a high quality semi-opaque (Milky White) or Clear film offering excellent stability and chemical resistance
  • the Clear film is mainly used in printing, graphic applications and labels
  • the semi-opaque (Milky White) film offers durability needed to meet a broad range of applications in the flexo and electrical industries

Polyester 505

  • adhesion treated
  • stable base film pre-treated coating on both sides to promote printing
  • excellent adhesion to a wide range of solvent based inks, graphic inks and varnishes
  • suitable for lithographic or screen printing use
  • good chemical resistance
  • also used as overlay material and for printed overhead projections
